Life has a way of taking small, ordinary moments and turning them into something bigger. Looking back, I can see how those moments taught me invaluable lessons and led me on the path to pursuing a greater purpose.
Real estate was part of my life long before it became my career. That influence started with my mother. She believed in the security and stability that comes with owning property. She already owned a couple of homes when I was growing up, and she made sure we understood why it mattered. In our house, it went God, family, and the stability of a home.
One of my strongest childhood memories is going with her to open houses. She loved exploring new homes, imagining possibilities, and thinking about moving up. For me, those visits were magical. I’d walk through rooms, taking in the architecture and décor, and picture the lives being lived inside those walls. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but those moments planted seeds that would later shape my own path.
That influence carried over when I bought my first home at just 24. Honestly, I had no clue what I was doing, but it was an incredible milestone. Owning that first property showed me what was possible and gave me a personal understanding of why having a home matters so much. When I went to sell, the REALTOR® that helped me guided me through the whole process and inspired me.
Years later, after earning my associate’s degree, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure what direction to take. I had two young daughters depending on me, and I needed a career that could provide both stability and growth. A close friend who was thriving in real estate suggested I give it a try. I trusted her advice and decided to go all in.

Living in Montebello at the time, I signed up for real estate classes at a local office and immersed myself in the work. I attended every class, studied contracts, learned the process inside and out, and took advantage of every training opportunity. Not long after, we moved to Eastvale. That meant starting over in a new city, building a client base from scratch while balancing motherhood and a brand-new career.
When I officially started in 2005, the market was booming, and things took off quickly. But it didn’t stay that way. The crash came, short sales and foreclosures dominated the market, and many agents left the industry. I chose to adapt instead of walk away. Working under a mentor who specialized in REO and bank-owned properties, I learned how to navigate one of the toughest markets in history. That experience shaped me into the agent I am today—resilient, resourceful, and focused on solutions.
Over time, my business grew through hard work, persistence, and relationships. Clients began returning and sending referrals, and I built a reputation for offering honest, trustworthy guidance. One of my favorite parts of this job is helping first-time buyers. Seeing the joy on their faces when they get the keys to their own home never gets old. And I know they are making an investment that will change their lives.
My faith has played a crucial role in my journey, keeping me focused on serving others, building trust, and helping families find their safe haven. Real estate changed my life, and I’m grateful every day for the chance to help others do the same.
Today, my youngest daughter, Bella, is beginning her real estate journey, and my oldest, Ashley, has her own culinary business. I’d like to think that watching me run my own business has inspired them. It certainly isn’t an easy path, but when you are passionate about what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.

Outside of real estate, I’ve been a group exercise instructor for 25 years, teaching classes and sharing my belief that movement is the best medicine. I also enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures.
My focus has always been on making real estate feel simple and stress-free for my clients. Buying or selling a home is a major life decision, and my goal is to guide people through it with clarity, communication, and confidence. I listen to what matters most to you, and I make sure every decision supports your goals.
One of my specialties is helping families buy and sell at the same time. Coordinating two transactions can feel intimidating—there are deadlines, moving pieces, and a lot that can go wrong without the right plan. I enjoy the challenge! I will handle all the details so everything lines up seamlessly, from listing your current home to getting the keys to your next one. I also love working with first-time buyers. Educating clients is a big part of what I do, because I believe people should feel empowered when making one of the biggest investments of their lives. And even after closing, I stay connected as a resource whenever you need guidance.
For me, it’s never about a transaction. It’s about trust, support, and helping you move into the next chapter of your life with confidence!
Sincerely,
Rosa Elena Ortiz
